In brief: A LoveQR QR shares your chosen profile and lets you continue a conversation in the app without giving your phone number. It does not make a contact anonymous or impossible to copy. Choosing what to share, checking the link and retaining the option to block remain essential.
Profile QR and phone-number QR are different
A QR is a carrier, not protection in itself. A vCard QR containing a number reveals that number when scanned. A LoveQR QR shares a chosen profile and supports an in-app exchange without requiring your phone number. A number or address written in that profile is not made secret by the QR.
Choose the right profile before showing it
Prepare a public profile for sport, language exchange or local life. Check visible information and keep intimate content separate. Show the QR voluntarily to the intended person rather than putting sensitive details on a flyer or open network. A photographed QR can circulate beyond the first recipient.
Scan and check the destination
Use the app scanner and check the domain and resulting profile. A street QR may have been replaced; do not enter passwords or payment details on a suspicious site. A QR does not verify civil identity. If something is inconsistent, stop rather than trusting the shape of the code.
Continue in LoveQR messaging
Text, audio and native games can continue the exchange according to your access rights. The shared profile provides context, not proof of identity. Relevant local caches use AES-256, but synchronised conversations are not end-to-end encrypted. Avoid information whose disclosure would have serious consequences.
Withdrawing access does not remove every copy
Blocking, deletion and access withdrawal help manage future exchanges. They cannot remove a screenshot, QR photo or message copied outside the app. Share limited details at first and retain ways to seek help; never treat a QR as a guarantee of physical safety.
Common questions
Can a QR be copied?
Yes. A photo or screenshot can circulate; share only information suitable for the context.
Does a QR containing my number protect it?
No. A scanner can read the encoded number. Use a profile without it if you do not want to share it.
Does the QR prove identity?
No. It opens a profile, not an identity verification or safety guarantee.
